Ms. Fraser has compiled a huge assortment of recipes from numerous wineries and restaurants in the Lake Chelan valley, making this w wonderful regional cookbook. The design is elegant, the recipes are delicious and wine pairings are spot-on.
When I first started looking through the cookbook I was so impressed with all the details that were put into it. From information on vineyards to harvest dates and even recipe tips to help you along this book has everything. Everything I've made from this cookbook has been a hit- there's something for everyone in there.
You don't have to be a cook to enjoy this beautiful book! The art work and photos inside will take you on a delightful visual adventure where there is much to see and feel. It made me want to pull out my unused pans and visit Chelan. The author has created a delicious experience... a gift for yourself or someone special in your life.
Savouring Chelan is a lovely collection of recipes and wine pairings. The book highlights the wonderful foods and wines of the Chelan region. The recipes are unique, flavorful and clear to execute. We consider ourselves "foodies" and "winos" and were pleasantly surprised to find some new recipe favorites in this book, and some new wines to try too!
