Cassie was probably somewhat what I girls begged for their parents to be rather then being a parent and chastising them . But once you read this book you be like nah you rather have the parent . The one thing I like about Cassie was that she was straight forward . I wished Cassie would have put her foot down with Carmen early. Poor Connie was so busy trying to hold her fam together she forgot to live . Overrall pretty good story and flowed well mines the errors .Product details

This is one great book!!! It was so fast paced that I didn't want it to end. Cassie was not mother material in the beginning but with the right man in her life things changed for the better. The Duncan's was a dysfunctional family but they still loved each other. Some of the things that went on with this family left me in disbelief!! Great job Author Le'Vonne!! Keep up the good work!!
This was a very good read. The storyline was very different from what I have been reading. It was a refreshing change from all of the sex, drugs, and gangs. It was very well put together and easy to relate to. It shows the struggles within the Duncan family and how they chose to deal with them. It touched on real life issues, and that was one of the things that made it so easy to relate to. I applaud the author for bringing something different to the table.
I rated this book five stars.This story for me was just a wowzer,a mother who was like a friend to her kids and a daughter who didn't like that situation.I was honestly getting mad at the mother constantly being immature. Carmen was really making me mad but I had to realize she was a product of her mother. Constance was my favorite by far. I hated Corey and Tanya ended up like they did . Constance ,Dillon, Butch were my favorites. glad Cassie straightened up her act.Good Read definitely recommend it.
This was such a great book. I never read a book by this author and I actually won the book in a contest. This book is a about real life. There are so many people who do not have silver spoons in their mouth. Several people who have to struggle from day to day... Life is what you make of it. This books shows the ups and downs about life and how different people choose to live their life and their choices. If you want to read something well, this would be the book. You can either be a product of how you were raised or be better. Check out the rollercoaster ride of the characters in this book.
It was refreshing to read in a category by itself!!!! This author makes you feel like your there living the life.
I really enjoyed this read.It was real life!Issues that families deal with everyday a story that everyone could relate to in some way!I loved the happily ever after!The fact that life became productive for everyone even it if wasn't what they expected...Great work on this one!!
I ENJOYED THIS READ. IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE NORMAL. THE DUNCAN FAMILY GOING THRU THE DAY TO DAY STRUGGLE. EVERYONE WAS LOOKING FOR THE SAME THING JUST IN A DIFFERENT WAY.
